I don't doubt that we're unable to have done otherwise. I think Libertarianism is unlikely to be true, and I'm not sure how it could work. However, a good case can be made for Compatibalism, and I'm not sure Sapolsky has ever said anything to make us think different. From what I've seen, he just asserts Incompatibalism, then gives evidence for our behaviour being deterministic. The latter I'm on board with, but the former needs backing up with philosophy
